description New Germany State Park is one of Maryland's best kept secrets. The park offers forests with ten miles of multi-use trails and a small lake suitable for fishing, swimming, and non-motorized boating. This Western Maryland gem is ideal for families and individuals looking to escape from the busy pace of life in cities and suburbs. Paddle on the 13-acre lake, hike through dense hemlock forest, or picnic on a lakeside table. The park's full-service cabins offer a comfortable alternative to outdoor camping.

facilitiesDescription Please read what our campers and visitors are saying about New Germany State Park: I was very impressed that the camp host kept a large supply of pay-on-the-honor-system firewood handy. The sites were very clean and everyone was friendly. The cabins were nestled in the woods, private and serene. The kitchen was fully stocked. The firewood was replenished daily and the snow was cleared daily both on the road and on the steps to our cabin. Excellent service.
